My Takeaways From Living in Fiji

My reflections on living and working in Fiji with Animals Fiji.

It really is incredible, the scenery is world-class, and it holds true to the saying that Fiji sells sand, sun, and smiles. On top the natural beauty, what I have found more remarkable is that I experienced Fiji in a way I never anticipated.

It's a country and culture that values, and more importantly, prioritises the intangibles. The things you can't necessarily put a price tag on.

Community. Connection. Family. Relationships. The environment.

Fiji holds a special place in my heart. It's been a healing, authentic, and genuine home away from home. I found myself accepted without judgement, experienced love from others in the most selfless manner, and grew to become a better friend, colleague, brother, uncle, and person in society.

A rollercoaster is an understatement of the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. The life experience hasn't been without its challenges and yet I'm grateful for going through the hard times, so I can better appreciate what it feels like to experience true joy.

Vinaka vaka levu to all the uros, my Animals Fiji vuvale, the Tamanikoula family, my dear AVI friends, the Wailoaloa community, and all the other friends I have made along the way. I send my lolomas to you. Moce mada for all the memories.

I'll see you all again soon 🇫🇯🌴❤️
