Making the most of a long-weekend, and no planning until the day before, I needed to get out of the big smoke and focus on a little nature therapy.
Over two days, we completed the 180km +3000m vert route which explores the Otway Ranges and the Great Ocean Road coastline. This route has great bang for buck with smooth gravel roads, rivers, waterfalls, redwood forests, wildlife, and rainforest views.
After catching the V/Line, we started and finished in Colac, with stops through Gellibrand, Apollo Bay, and Forrest (MTB town) to eat, refuel, and wander around.
Tip: Heading into Forrest, hop off Kaanglang Road near Lake Elizabeth and jump onto the flowly MTB trail (Baridjaru / Red Carpet) into town for some single track fun!
Thanks @drslane for creating the ride! Check out the route here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39708731
And always a thank you to @wildearthaustralia and @soomomapparel for supporting!
